M.E. HERON RESTORATION.
Here's the little gem as he arrived in our E.D. department.
Poor little man was gasping and wheezing as all the compression was leaking past the piston. We'll get him dismantled and into the bath and see what's what.

Here he is all dismantled and ready for a jolly good bath.....

O.K. so lets start cleaning him up and see what's what.
Here we have the case all cleaned and reassembled with the clean crankshaft and prop driver.
Crankshaft was all O.K. so will definitely run again and the prop driver just needed a bit of a touch up to remove most of the dreaded pliar marks and scrapes.

Next on the list of "to do's" is a nice anodized cylinder head and spinner nut.
Out with the old.....

In with the new........

Now we just need to make up the tooling to carry out the rebore and make the new piston and contra piston blanks.
