ENYA 15 DIESEL MK2 RESURRECTION.

This engine was one we purchased from a Trademe sale with a bunch of scrap engines.

Here's how it arrived in our workshop.

Well we've had worse projects........................I think???????????

Lets see what can be done.

Here we have the crankcase after cleaning and refinishing, looks a bit better and far more healthy, don't you think?

Now onto the next step.

We decided that because we have to make a new crankshaft for this engine anyway that we will upgrade it to a 12mm main shaft and therefore it would also be a great candidate for conversion to a twin ball raced crankshaft, so this is the second Enya 15D mk2 diesel to get this upgrade.

Here we have the crankcase machined up in preparation for the front bearing housing to be fitted

A quick rummage through the second hand parts bins brought to light a spare back plate for this mk2 Enya 15 D.

Next up is to make the new front bearing housing and assemble it to the existing crankcase.
