Early WOHM Radial restoration
This is the subject engine as it was received and it does require quite a bit of TLC to return it to usable condition.

First step is to clean all the parts and then measure up for a new crankshaft.
Here we have all the crankcase parts cleaned up and remachined to accomodate a revised crankshaft design that will be mounted on three ball bearings instead of the well under spec 10x19x5 bearings it had originally. New bearings are 2 x (12x28x7) and a 12x21x5 at the frot housing.

Here are the new piston and contra piston blanks all ready for final machining to size and fitting to the cylinder liners once they have been restored to working order.

Next up is to machine up the new crankshaft.
Here's the first machining stage completed for the new crankshaft.

Next step is to index the blank in preparation for machining the big end journals.
