A PAIR OF OLIVER TIGER MK3 ENGINES TO REDEEM.

These two engine were sent in by my good friend Callum Agnew with the request to "please make them new again". No problem mate.

Here they are as we received them.

Not looking too bad on the outside, lets pull them down and see what's on the inside.

Well here they are all dismantled and ready for cleaning.

Here's the first case all cleaned and ready to start reassembling.

Original crankshaft cleaned and refitted with new bearings front and back. New Back plate also made and ready to fit. Prop driver cleaned up and going back on.

Here's the cylinder liner and piston assembly for this engine which is a standard engine.

Piston and contra piston blanks all ready for final machining and fitting to the restored cylinder liner.

And all finished and fitted up ready for reassembly to the engine.

Now we'll do the second engine so they are both at the same stage.

Here is the cleaned up crankcase for the second engine which appears to have been modified for racing application. We will therefore restore this engine to full race spec.

And a new back plate made and test fitted.

Here's the cylinder liner and replacement piston etc for this engine.

Piston and contra all finished and fitted up ready for reassembly.

Next up is the con rods for both engines.
